Roots

Hey there! My name is Juan Tule, but my friends call me Tule. Born in Mexico, I've lived in the States since I was three years old. Growing up in East LA and later Pomona, CA, I discovered skateboarding—an experience that deeply shaped my identity. Skateboarding introduced me to incredible graphic tees from brands like World Industries, Birdhouse, Enjoi, Blind, Anti Hero, Toy Machine, and the unforgettable Hook-Ups.

Skate culture naturally overlapped with music and sports. I fell in love with bands like Radiohead, The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and REM, collecting tees from concerts along the way. And, like many skateboarders, basketball became another passion—especially Kobe and the Lakers in the late '90s, an era with unforgettable designs.

Throughout my life, graphic shirts have remained a constant source of joy and nostalgia. After years of running multiple e-commerce ventures, I found myself rethinking everything when new import tariffs hit. While digging through storage, I rediscovered my old skate tees—U.S.-made, bold, and full of story. That moment reminded me just how much these shirts meant to me growing up. I realized they weren’t just clothes—they were identity, history, and memory stitched into cotton.

So I created Throwback Haven to honor that. It’s a place for the shirts that defined eras, connected subcultures, and still turn heads today. Every tee in this collection is a second life for a true original—worn by the past, collected for the future.

One-of-one. Worn by the past. Collected for the future.
